The collection of expository writings includes reflective personal narratives and analytical social commentaries. Creative Writing Students
Students in Creative Writing classes, under the guidance of the instructor, compile their poetry, short stories, one-act plays, and creative non-fiction from the semester into a magazine that is distributed to the class. During National Library Week, students present their favorite works to the public. Students often present their work at poetry readings in the Stockton Community; in fact, Delta College poets have been showcased at both Barnes & Noble and Maxwell's Bookmark.
The Final Draft
The Final DraftÌýwas a vital resource in Level I composition courses from 2000--2012 and was directly connected to the curriculum for English 70. Students submitted original poetry, short fiction, essays, or artwork in various media.ÌýThe Final DraftÌýwriters were featured at readings on campus. The popular magazine was compiled by June Gillam, Patti Drake, and Writing Lab tutors.
