Accreditation team to visit Delta College; public can submit comments

STOCKTON — ӰƵis accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is seeking reaffirmation of its accredited status through an external evaluationpeer-review.
An evaluation team will visit the College in March, and the public is invited toprovide third-partycomments to thein advance of the team's visit. These comments will help the Commission as it considers Delta's application.
The upcoming visit is part of an accreditation process that the College undertakes every six years. Accreditation is a way for peers from other colleges to evaluate Delta’s work and to assure the quality of its educational programs.
The accreditation team’s visit is scheduled for March 2-5, 2020. Public third-party comments should be submitted by Jan. 27.

“Accreditation is a critical process that helps us understand what we are doing well and what we could be doing better,” said Delta College Superintendent/President Omid Pourzanjani. “We encourage the public to participate by submitting comments prior to the accreditation team’s visit in March.”
